“Manage Your Anxiety, Discover Your Potential”: Menarini Türkiye Invests in Student Mental Health

Countless young people face a reality where their entire future seems to rest on the outcome of a single examination, bringing immense psychological burden. This high-pressure environment transforms anxiety from a manageable emotion into a constant, debilitating presence. Thousands of Turkish students preparing for pivotal graduation and university entrance examinations find themselves caught between paralyzing fear of failure and the overwhelming weight of familial and societal expectations, often losing sight of their inherent abilities and inner strength.

Yet anxiety, when properly addressed, can be transformed from a barrier into a bridge to success. Recognizing this potential, Menarini Türkiye and the Community Volunteers Foundation (Toplum Gönüllüleri Vakfı – TOG) joined forces to create “Manage Your Anxiety, Discover Your Potential”, a forward-thinking program that reframes stress management as a learnable skill rather than an insurmountable challenge.

The program specifically supports 10th and 11th-grade students at a crucial crossroads in their academic careers, when future-defining decisions collide with peak levels of self-doubt. Rather than offering temporary relief, this initiative builds lasting resilience by teaching students to recognize their emotional patterns, develop healthy coping mechanisms, and transform nervous energy into focused determination.

Launching with an intensive four-day training program in Istanbul from March 15-18, 2025 the initiative prepared 25 carefully selected TOG peer mentors through workshops led by experienced psychologists and education specialists. These young facilitators then deployed a student-centered approach in schools, creating safe spaces for authentic dialogue, peer connection, and collaborative learning.

Throughout the 2025 academic year, the program has successfully engaged over 800 students from grades 10 and 11 across Istanbul. Through interactive and engaging sessions, participants explored critical issues including academic pressure, career-related anxieties, and techniques for emotional recognition and regulation.

To amplify the program’s reach and impact, Menarini Türkiye held a dedicated press conference on June 18, 2025 convening key stakeholders to showcase the initiative’s vision and early achievements. The event, hosted by Menarini Türkiye General Manager Cenk Balcı, Community Volunteers Foundation (TOG) General Manager Seçkin Karataş, and project psychologist Tolga Erdoğan, drew 25 journalists keen to explore this innovative approach to student wellbeing. Going beyond traditional project presentations, the team conducted live demonstrations of anxiety management techniques, enabling attendees to directly experience the transformative methods students learn through the program. This proactive media engagement underscores the organization’s commitment to transparency and its desire to inspire broader conversations about youth mental health throughout Turkish society.

Assessment data gathered through pre- and post-intervention surveys revealed remarkable progress: participants demonstrated enhanced emotional intelligence and reported greater confidence in managing stressful situations. Teachers and parents noted even more compelling evidence: students who once seemed overwhelmed now displayed renewed engagement, authentic confidence, and genuine enthusiasm for learning.

This initiative transcends traditional educational outreach, it embodies Menarini Türkiye commitment to invest in youth development. By helping young people achieve emotional resilience, the company is actively shaping a society that values both psychological wellness and human potential.

This initiative represents far more than conventional corporate philanthropy for Menarini Türkiye: it stands as a foundational pillar in their sustainable social impact strategy. By embedding emotional intelligence and coping strategies into students’ skill sets, the organization tackles the root causes of academic stress while simultaneously preparing Turkey’s youth to face an unpredictable future with self-awareness, inner strength, and emotional agility. Extending into the 2025-2026 academic year, the program demonstrates Menarini Türkiye’s enduring commitment to nurturing mental health and unlocking the full potential of Turkish youth.

Further validating the initiative’s impact and strategic vision, “Manage Your Anxiety, Discover Your Potential” has been recognized at the prestigious Golden Pulse Awards, one of Turkey’s leading healthcare communication events. The program was honored with the “Social Responsibility Project of the Year” award, acknowledging its innovative youth-to-youth model and its measurable contribution to student wellbeing. This important recognition not only celebrates the project’s early success but also reinforces Menarini Türkiye’s commitment to expanding its reach and continuing to invest in the psychological resilience of the next generation.
